Fees & Payment Information

Fees

Private-Pay Rates:
Initial intake session (60 minutes): $180
Ongoing individual therapy sessions (60 minutes): $150

These rates apply to clients who choose not to use insurance.

If you plan to use Aetna insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan (such as your copay, deductible, or coinsurance), and will typically be lower than the private-pay rate.

For private-pay clients, payment is due at the time of service. You’ll also receive a Good Faith Estimate as part of your intake paperwork, outlining what you can expect to pay over the course of therapy in accordance with federal transparency guidelines.

Using Insurance

I am currently in-network with Aetna, which allows many clients to use their insurance benefits to help cover the cost of therapy.

I’m also in the process of becoming credentialed with additional insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Cigna, and Medicare, and will update this page as those become available.

If you plan to use Aetna, I recommend contacting your insurance provider ahead of time to understand your specific benefits, including your copay, deductible, and any session limits.

I am in the process of becoming credentialed with select insurance providers (BCBS, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Aetna, Cigna, and Medicare) and will update this page as in-network billing becomes available.

Private Pay

Some clients choose private pay for greater flexibility and privacy, as insurance plans often require a mental health diagnosis and may place limits on care.

If you’re unsure whether to use insurance or private pay, we can talk through what makes the most sense for your situation during a consultation.

Out-of-Network Benefits

If I’m not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to receive partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits.

I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. I recommend reaching out to your provider directly to understand what your plan may reimburse.

Payment Methods

I accept debit cards, credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards.

For convenience, automatic payment can be set up through the secure client portal. When enabled, session fees are processed after each session.

If you’re ready to move forward, schedule a consultation or reach out with any questions.

Taking the first step can feel uncertain, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
